One-on-one coaching

Therapy (also known as psychotherapy, counseling, or “talk therapy”) is similar to coaching in some ways. Both use evidence-based techniques and intentional dialogue as the primary tools for growth and discovery, but there are also key differences between these services: Coaching focuses primarily on the present and future, while therapy focuses on the past, present, and future. Coaching is focused on personal growth and professional development, while therapy is designed to help you work through deeper issues such as anxiety, depression, or trauma.

BetterUp has the world’s largest network of licensed and certified Coaches in positive behavior change. Our Coaches can support you on everything from creating better habits to reaching your personal and professional goals. Through a careful vetting process, BetterUp accepts just 8% of coach applicants to our platform to ensure the highest quality experience for our members.

In your first 30-minute video coaching session (via phone or computer), you and your Coach will get to know one another and explore what coaching is and how it can help you achieve your goals. In your following sessions (frequency will depend on your plan), your Coach will be an unbiased partner, helping you answer questions that will guide you on your path to growth and success.

Currently, BetterUp is not covered by HSA/FSA. However, it may be covered through an employer benefits program such as tuition reimbursement or education stipend.

We offer monthly subscriptions to BetterUp, which include 1:1 coaching sessions, an on-demand content library, goal-setting features, and more. We have several pricing options based on on how often you want to meet your coach.
